1. Service Scope
Garbage Drop provides on-property trash-handling services using standard pickup trucks. We are not a junk-removal or bulk-hauling company. Our services are:
- Curbside Can Valet (residential & curbside property-manager accounts): A two-visit cycle keyed to your trash hauler's collection day. We move your trash, recycling, and/or yard-waste bins from your designated location to the curb the day before collection, and return them to their designated spot the day after collection.
- Bag Pickup (property-manager / multi-unit / dumpster-equipped accounts): On the specified service day we collect tied trash bags from a designated point on the property (such as a unit door or staging area) and deposit them in the property's on-site dumpster or compactor, or — if arranged — at the municipal transfer station. This is a single trip per service day.
- OnDemand (one-time visits for Household and Priority+ subscribers): A one-off Can Valet or Bag Pickup booked outside your regular schedule, priced at $19 (same-route) or $29 (dedicated trip).
We handle bins and tied trash bags only. We do not collect, transport, or dispose of bulk items, furniture, appliances, mattresses, construction debris, hazardous materials, loose/unbagged waste, or any item too large or heavy to handle safely. Garbage Drop does not haul waste away from the property for final disposal and is not a licensed waste collector. Final waste collection and disposal is provided by your municipality or your property's contracted waste-management vendor and is entirely separate from our service.
2. SMS & Text Message Communications
SMS is currently paused. No automated text messages are being sent as of April 2026. Service-day confirmations are delivered by email. The provisions in this section take effect once SMS is reactivated; we will notify you when SMS resumes.
By providing your mobile phone number and subscribing to Garbage Drop, you consent — once the SMS feature is active — to receive recurring automated SMS text messages from Garbage Drop, including:
- Service completion notifications (confirmation that your bins have been moved/returned)
- Photo proof links when a service photo has been taken
- Service delay or skip notifications
- Account and billing updates
Message frequency varies based on your service schedule (typically 1–2 messages per service day). Message and data rates may apply.
To opt out: Reply STOP to any text message at any time. You will receive a confirmation and no further messages will be sent. Reply HELP for assistance or contact us at [email protected].
Opting out of SMS will not affect your service subscription. You can update your phone number at any time through your account portal.
3. Access Requirements
Customers must ensure the following on every service day:
- A clear, unobstructed path to the bin location
- Unlocked gates or access points along the service path
- Bins placed in the agreed-upon location
If access is blocked and service cannot be completed, the stop will be skipped for that week without refund. We will notify you of the skip by email when possible (and by SMS when that feature is active).
4. Service Interruptions
Service may be delayed or skipped due to severe weather, holidays, equipment issues, or other circumstances beyond our control. We make every reasonable effort to notify customers in advance. Skipped service due to these circumstances does not entitle a refund of that week's service.
5. Payment & Billing
- 14-day free trial: Every new subscription begins with a 2-week (14-day) free trial. Your card is saved at signup but no charge is made until day 15. Cancel before day 15 from your account portal and pay $0.
- After the trial period, plans auto-renew at the billing cadence you selected (monthly, quarterly, or annual) via Square.
- No credit card details are stored by Garbage Drop — all payment processing is handled by Square.
- OnDemand visits are one-time charges ($19 same-route / $29 dedicated) billed when you book them; they are separate from your recurring subscription and are non-refundable once the visit is completed.
- Property-manager accounts are individually quoted; pricing, billing cadence, and invoicing terms are set out in your account agreement.
- No refunds are issued for partial billing periods of service already rendered.
- Prices may change with 30 days advance written notice to your billing email.
6. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Square Customer Portal — no phone call required, no cancellation fees. Cancellation is effective at the end of your current billing period. You will continue to receive service through the end of the paid period.
7. Property Damage Liability
Garbage Drop's liability is limited to direct, proven negligence on our part. We are not liable for:
- Damage caused by city or private waste collection trucks
- Pre-existing property damage
- Damage resulting from incorrect access information provided by the customer
- Overfilled, overweight, or structurally unsafe bins
Maximum liability for any single incident is one month of your subscription fee. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages of any kind.
8. Indemnification
By subscribing, you agree not to hold Garbage Drop, its employees, contractors, or agents liable for injury, loss, or damage arising from improper bin use, hazardous materials placed in bins, undisclosed unsafe property conditions, or misuse of our service.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Any disputes shall be resolved in Simpson County, Kentucky.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the service after notification of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
